My name is Christal Manis. I am an actress and model, and my plan is to recieve a masters at UofA for elementary education. I have, for as long as I can remember, been interested in the paranormal. Even when I was a little girl, I was the one in my group of friends that was always pushing the others to go on ghost hunts with me. I would drag them along urging them not to be scared as we walked through "haunted" houses, graveyards, and other things. My friends laugh when I mention my deep interest in the paranormal. It's to the point where just the other day a friend of mine assumed that my road trip this spring break would consist of me driving to Salem, and my boyfriend assumed the thing I was asking him to look at on the computer was just another one of my haunted places. This is my passion, and with ARPAST I can finally explore it in a safe, scientific, and very exciting way!

I am a student at Cabot High School scheduled to graduate in 2009, I'm pursuing a career in anthropology, but have not yet to decided which area. I have been interested in the paranormal for as long as I can remember. Researching and studying paranormal phenomenon has been a dream of mine for many years. My wish is to further my understanding of the afterlife, the occurences themselves, and the people who make the claims.

I was introduced to the paranormal at the age 7. I read a book at the school library about the loc ness monster and was totally festinated. This lead to reading about Big foot, Ghosts, UFO's, Witches', Demons, Crop circles, Egyptology, Hypnotism, Cryptozooaligy, Obductions, So called human freaks, Mind control, Remote viewing, every thing paranormal. I am a true X-file poster child.
I got started in electronics at a early age. I was given a amplitude modulated radio (AM) in the form of a Green Bay football helmet. (GO PACKERS!). Any way, at night I found I could listen to radio stations from all over the world. This lead to me to get my ham radio license and study electronics. I built my first radio receiver at the age of seven. It was made of one tube taken from a old TV, a little bit of wire a piece of wood for the base and just a few other things but it worked and I knew why it worked. At the age of 18, I joined the Army. I traveled the world and got lots of education. While in the Army I got recruited by the CID, the central intelligence division to do a little snooping on supply sergeants who were basically trading paint for coffee. I got to go through basic intelligence training and got to rub shoulders with people who were a lot more interesting than I was or what I was doing. Enough said on that. After a few years out of the service, I joined the Wisconsin Air National Guard. My title was Aerospace Ground Technician. Basically, allot of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, internal combustion, and jet engine training.
It was great, I love to learn. Paranormally this is what I want everyone to know. I have a hard time believing in anything paranormal. BUT I respect every one's view's and beliefs. I may in time be a hard core believer. The truth is what's important not my views.

I am first and foremost a student of Psychology, and very passionate about the field of the Paranormal. I approach investigations grounded in the knowledge I've gained through studying Psychology. It's helped me maintain a healthy balance between skepticism and belief. As a child I loved ghost stories, but when the story ended I always wanted more. I wanted to know if ghosts really existed. This would later launch my studies into the paranormal as an adult. In 2000 I had yet to experience anything paranormal other than a few scattered dreams that would come true. I searched everywhere rumors of ghosts would lead me, but came up empty. Then I visited (and fell head over heels for) the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs. When I started investigating the hotel 6 years ago I started experiencing unidentifiable sounds, objects moving on their own, anomalous photos, and documented EVPs. I had finally had my 15 minutes with the other side, and have been relentlessly seeking more knowledge ever since. The field of the paranormal, I believe, is in its infancy right now just as the field of Psychology was 100 years ago. Psychology struggled to gain cedibility in the scientific community, but look where it has led us today. Imagine the possibility of what the paranormal could teach us as it gains more credibility. Its something very, very special that we're all a part of.

For many years I have been interested in the science of the paranormal. I have had a few unexplained experiences that left me wanting to know more about what I had experienced. As a student of Biology and Psychology, I have been exposed to many paranormal issues, which led me into research in many aspects of the supernatural trying to learn as much as possible. As a true believer, my fascination grew into wanting hands on scientific research. I investigated my church with surprising evidence. I studied religion through my school and church where I learned about connections between religion, demonology, psychology and other theories. When I first learned about ARPAST and its mission, I became even more excited about furthering my knowledge. I enjoy working with the team where I can participate in scientific research using expert technology to find explanations for the most anomalous phenomena. I am proud to be a member of such a professional organization where I can enjoy learning more about the supernatural.

My name is Shelly Robbins and I have been interested in the Paranormal since I was a small child. We had an historical building in our family that was a plantation, a Girls Boarding School and the headquarters during the Civil War. My family had several experiences there and I never really questioned whether paranormal activity was real or not as I had experienced it often. I also have a long personal history of precognition and ESP so I am always interested finding out more about the unknown. Being a twin, I do have some theories about why we have experienced ESP and precognition with each other but that doesn't account for the other instances that did not pertain to her. Because I am generally more sensitive to things I tend to witness and experience paranormal activity. I sometimes feel like a beacon for it. Either way I am curious to investigate it further. I'm interested in ARPAST because I have looked into several groups and ARPAST seems to be the most professional, organized and the most technologically advanced group in Arkansas. By studying with your group I hope to find some answers to some of the phenomenons that I as well as others have experienced whether they be paranormal or explainable by scientific means. I also hope to be able to benefit ARPAST by performing the functions of sales and marketing as well as assisting with fund raising efforts.
